Oldie But Goodie Epson Ink Sale!
Posted by Joanna Zeller Quentin
Sometimes our incredible warehouse guys are in such a hurry to get all of your orders out before the end of the day that they grab the first available ink cartridge on the shelf, and invariably, some inks get pushed to the back. As a result, we have in stock some Epson ink cartridges that are dangerously close to the dreaded expiration date on the box.
What does this mean?
You guessed it. “Oldie but Goodie” ink SALE!
Thankfully, unlike eggs or milk, Epson ink doesn’t really go bad. I personally know several people who have used “freshly expired” ink in their Epson printers (in fact, I’m sharing this keyboard with one) with nary a problem. Epson’s general blanket statement is that ink should be used within 6 months from the date it is opened (one more reason I always date my cartridges before I stick them in the machine) or within two years from the date of manufacture, but there’s a lot of leeway there.
Ink that’s been stored in a dusty and forgotten corner of an attic long enough to have reached “vintage” classification (looking at you, Epson 10600 users) probably isn’t the greatest thing to stick in your machine, but within 6-12 months of expiration date should be perfectly fine to use. Just give the cartridges the customary gentle shake (no “air maraca” action) and you should be good to go!
So, if you’d like to try living “dangerously” and save some money on almost-still-good ink cartridges, give us a call. We’ve got “on the edge” inks for the Epson Stylus R1900, R3000, R2000, R2880, R2400, R 1800, Stylus Pro 2200 and Stylus Pro 3800. Quantities are limited and they are not on our website, so call today! 800-342-9294
