Video: DS-RX1HS Overview and Setup Video: Setting up the DS-RX1HS Print Driver The new DNP DS-RX1HS has hit the docks at Imaging Spectrum and are ready to ship. But first we want to share some some critical notes while you make your printer decisions:
- The RX1HS will print 20% faster than the RX1
- The old media will NOT work in the new printer.
- The new media WILL work in the old printer. However, once used in the RX1, it will not work in RX1HS.
- After updating a RX1 to the new Firmware it will print at the same speed as a RX1HS.
- The new Firmware is now available from the DNP Download page.
- If you have an old RX1 and a new RX1HS you will need to take the correct media with the correct printer. If you take a new RX1HS and an old RX1 as backup you will need to take both the old and new media until the new FW.
- New RX1HS media boxes have Blue writing. You may want to still mark the boxes, especially if you have someone else picking up, and/or running your booths.
- The same driver for the RX1 works with the RX1HS.
- The Firmware has a new feature that will allow the printer to appear as the same printer to the driver, no matter what port it is in. No more Copy 1, Copy 2, Copy 3, where is my printer, why is it not working.
- DR Booth built in driver works with no problem.
- New RX1HS ribbon has a grey ribbon end cap and grey writing on the back of the paper. RX1 has yellow ribbon end cap and yellow writing on the back on the paper.
