DS-Series 5x7 Media is now manufactured in North Carolina

DNP IMS America Corporation announced that they have started manufacturing the DS-Series 5x7 media in their North Carolina facility. This is really good news!
The imaging industry is no stranger to unexpected spikes in demand. Most of us have experienced a shortfall with dye-sub consumables at some point in our careers. While Imaging Spectrum does its best to maintain a healthy inventory, unforeseen spikes in demand can catch the entire industry by surprise.
DNP will no longer be manufacturing and importing this media model from their Japan facility. So what does this mean? The shortened lead-time will help better serve customers relative to any unexpected spikes in demand.
You would think that the price on the paper would go up. We are assured by DNP that the price per sheet will stay the same. This is more good news, given we would sometimes expect domestic production costs to be higher.
We love positive changes in the event and photo booth industry. This is one of them.
Please feel free to contact Imaging Spectrum if you have questions about your media needs and inventory plans.
