Boulevard worked with Imaging Spectrum, along with local designers and carpenters to retrofit and convert the trailer into a photo booth. It debuted when Boulevard opened its brand new, 20,000 square feet visitor center at the beginning of July. It lives in a cozy corner of the brewery's new Beer hall, which features 24 taps, a limited kitchen menu & a deck with views of downtown Kansas City. Tour guests and brewery visitors can get complimentary photo booth tokens for taking a tour or starting a tab, and also purchase additional tokens at the bar. Ali Bush of Boulevard tells us, "since opening only a few short weeks ago, the Shastie has had a line from open to close everyday!"
The photo booth uses a Brava 21 photo printer and Darkroom Booth software. The integral software feature with this project is the Phidget Control feature in Darkroom Booth. The user simply drops their token into a coin slot and the phidget automatically starts the photo booth session. Setup with the software is simple. There was no need for the complicated scripts oftentimes required in other booth programs. Learn more about Phidget Control in Darkroom Booth.

Customer Spotlight: Boulevard Brewing Company

We really enjoy working with customers on unique projects in the event and booth business. In the past newsletters we’ve shared stories about a number of companies that do some really unique things with Darkroom Booth and dye sub printers. One of my favorite projects was helping Vintage Auto Booth build a booth into the back of a British Taxi. Custom photo booth builds, using Darkroom Booth, have even made their way to The Late Late Show. These are just a couple of great examples that illustrate just how versatile and powerful the program is in the corporate activation environment. This month we are excited to tell you about our latest project with Boulevard Brewing Company.
Boulevard Brewing Company bought this 1957, turquoise & cream Shasta trailer last year from a friend of the brewery, who sold artisanal snow cones out of it under the name 'Fresher than Fresh'. A lot of ideas on what to do with it were discussed—a dressing room for the gift shop, a portable beer-pouring station—but a photo booth sounded like the perfect way to provide the thousands of visitors Boulevard receives each year a memorable souvenir.
