Our latest customer profile is of Art Armani, owner of Armani Entertainment. His business has been operating in Bucks County and the Philadelphia area since 2004.

Tell us about your business.

It all started out when I was in bands in my college days in the 90’s. The band life had us playing at bars and nightclubs pretty much every day of the week except Sundays.  Sunday evenings I would go out and sing karaoke at a local bar in State College, Pennsylvania, the home of Penn State.  It was during those karaoke nights that I became interested in running karaoke nights myself.  In 2004 I opened up a company called Karaoke Bomb that focused on running Karaoke and DJing events, that company was later changed to Armani Entertainment.

In 2015 I started adding photo booths as an offering from Armani Entertainment.  Starting with a makeshift roaming photo booth that I used at my Karaoke nights, and at some smaller events with an iPad Simple Booth and a Canon Selphy printer.  After I decided to improve the quality of my photo booth offering, I purchased a YourCity Photo Booth and upgraded to a DNP DSRX1H printer which I purchased from Imaging Spectrum.  Since then, Armani Entertainment has grown to doing more photo booth events than DJ events.

The passion we have for the photo booth rental side of Armani Entertainment is paying off as we are now one of the leading photo booth companies in our area, having been voted The Best in Bucks County by Bucks Happening Magazine 5 years in a row, and staring down a 6th straight year with that title.  Our attention to quality of photos, adaptation to the new trends in the industry, and an entertaining experience is what gives us a strong reaction from our clients who use our services time and time again.

Tell us about a particular event you’re proud of.

There are a few memorable events that we are proud to have been a part of over the years. One that stands out the most is the event we did for the Alzheimer's Association at their annual Party in Purple Gala that was held at the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia.  We love working with large charitable organizations and were proud to have provided our open air photo booth in addition to our roaming photography for the guests during the cocktail hour.

The next event that had rave reviews was a trading card experience we did for a Bar Mitzvah where we used the DNP DS620A to printout photos that we then made trading cards with for the guests at the event.  The 620A printer made it a seamless production for the cards to be made and cased on the spot.

How has working with Imaging Spectrum affected your business?

Having a dedicated and knowledgeable partner like Imaging Spectrum has made not only ordering the printers and media we need easy, but affordable.  In addition, we know that if we need expert advice about anything related to our printing needs, Imaging Spectrum is the first place we go to solve any problem. Could we easily order from Amazon? Yes, but we don’t have that personal relationship trust like we have with Imaging Spectrum.  Even during Covid 19 when we saw supplies were unavailable everywhere including Amazon, Imaging Spectrum had our back and worked with us to make sure we were always stocked with the media and printers we needed to stay in business.

Tell us about your podcast and what you have going on at Photo Booth Expo this year.

Art Armani and Dave Stephenson

Dave Stephenson, founder of the Photo Booth Network, and I sat down at the DJ Expo in Atlantic City and joined forces to create the Photo Booth Magazine.  The Photo Booth Magazine is a casual video livestream / podcast where we invite guests to come on the show and chat about the photo booth industry.  The show is a live broadcast in the Photo Booth Network Facebook Group and also available on our YouTube Channel. We have had many guests on the episodes such as Alan Berg, Danny Max, Hugo Drax, and even Steve Behen from Imaging Spectrum!

Now three years in the running, we were asked to lead a Round Table at Photo Booth Expo 2026.  Here is a link to the information that will be discussed at the Round Table.

Art, thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. We look forward to working together for many more years to come.

-Steve Behen
