Epson Professional today announced the release of a software update to the Proofing Edition Printers (Stylus Pro 7900EFI, Stylus Pro 9900EFI). EFI Colorproof XF 4.1 for Epson brings many enhancements to commercial contract proofing, among the most significant are:
- All new version 2 profiles for Epson Proofing Media
- SP7900/9900 CMYK Halftone drivers in addition to the previous Contone driver
- Improved Rendering of Spot Color Overprints
- Enhanced DynamicWedge
- Improvements to the Visual Correction Tool
- User Interface and Usability improvements
- Latest Adobe Interpreter Technology
- Adobe Postscript 3 Engine (CPSI 3019) – 4 cores for multiprocessing of files
- PDF Print Engine 2 (2.0.4004.5)
- New Operating System Support
- Windows 7 (32 and 64* bit) *runs as a 32 bit application
- MAC OS X 10.6.x Snow Leopard
- Support for the Epson Stylus Pro WT7900
