Be Worry Free with the New Epson P Series Printer

You know that catchy song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” by Bobby McFerrinn back in the day?  Well, you might find yourself humming that tune a lot when printing with one of the new large format P-series printers from Epson.   This is because among all the other upgrades that the P-Series printers have over the previous Pro-Stylus models, one key improvement is the newly designed MicroPiezo TFP printhead which has an ink repellant coating that is put in place to help defend clogging.  Isn’t that music to your ears?

The lead act for this performance is an added menu command called the Printhead Maintenance Cycle, which can be easily directed by the user on the printer itself.  The main purpose of this function is to maintain the health of the printhead in periods of times when the printer sits idle.  With it in action, it will actually moisten the printhead to keep the lines open from residue building up and help prevent ink clogs.   The user can set appearance times of this feature to run from 6 to 60 hours depending on their in-between times of print usage and when they return, it will be ready to rock out some prints!

This new feature is easy to configure (check out the video below) and will lead to less user maintenance and more worry-free printing, which makes everyone happy!
