In order to “reduce environmental impact” Kodak has introduced a new media for the following printer models: Kodak 6800, 6850, 7000, 7010, 7015, and 605. The new media requires that you update the firmware in your printer in order for it to operate properly. We’re not really sure what the benefits of the new firmware and media are but here is what Kodak has to say:
- The new firmware will upgrade your printers to the most current set of performance enhancements.
- The product has reduced environmental impact, reduced material waste, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
- The new format reduces storage footprint, yielding more efficient shelf and pallet utilization.
