Customer Spotlight: Silver Star Pictures

In this month’s Photo Booth Newsletter, our customer spotlight is on Dave Stana, owner of Silver Star Pictures. Here is his story:

Based in Frisco, Texas, Silver Star Pictures is a unique photo event service and portrait studio. From special events with dance studios to some of the largest fundraising events, we create an exciting and fun experience for our clients. We also have multiple pop-up stores created seasonally for Easter with live bunnies and Christmas with Santa Claus at different high end retail locations around the Dallas Ft. Worth area. Our customers love our attention to detail, they enjoy the best photo experience we can give them and leave with a beautiful image the same day.

Growing the Business

A number of years ago when Imaging Spectrum first spoke with us about getting into the photo booth trade, we approached it with the same high quality standards we used to grow our event photography business. Our booths are another service that has grown right along with our traditional services of creating quality and timely heirloom keepsakes our customers have come to expect from us.

Running the Photo Booths

First I must say we had been using other software when we started building and providing photo booth services, and although it worked, we were very happy when Darkroom Booth was released. Being a Darkroom Software Core and Pro user for many years, we were excited to see how intuitive and easy Darkroom Booth was to use, especially since we continually create new looks for our customers and want to do it quickly. We love the choices Darkroom Booth delivers and it’s very easy to provide new features to our customers.

Building a Relationship

We have been working with Imaging Spectrum for over 10 years, from our first dye sub printers for location work to commercial in-house ink-jet printers for our clients who want archival quality prints. The staff at Imaging Spectrum are highly skilled and qualified individuals who are much more than a supplier, they have become friends we trust and rely on. They always look out for our best interest and help us make the best decision on what we need to purchase and when.

I cannot say enough about the importance of good service and people who stand behind what they sell. Imaging Spectrum has set the service standard by which others need to model for our industry to grow. I feel blessed to have the service and support of a company like Imaging Spectrum to work with and help me grow my business with great new products.
