Signage is in the air!
Spring is here… that magical time of year when our thoughts turn to sunshine filled days, baseball, spring showers, and puppies. If you’re like us, it also makes you think of signage! While the aqueous inkjet media line isn’t nearly as diverse as the materials available for solvent inkjet printers like the Epson GS6000 and the new Epson Sure Color S30670, there are still some great banner and signage materials out there. Here are a few of our favorites:
Epson Enhanced Adhesive Synthetic Paper
This polypropylene media is thin, light, and very flexible, featuring a durable, wet strength and tear resistant surface. The adhesive backing allows for easy repositioning of signage or graphics. The textured matte surface dries to the touch almost instantly and allows for high res details and crisp text. Perfect for display signage applications! Over-laminate is recommended if hanging outside for an extended period of time. *Available in 24” x 100’ and 44” x 100’ rolls
Epson DisplayTrans Backlight Media
Engineered for creating backlit signage to be used in a lightbox, this 7 mil opaque polyester film features a state of the art opacifying layer that diffuses light throughout the printed image so that it is evenly lit. Images are front printed on a glossy micro-porous surface so images look just as exceptional in an unlit environment. Blacks look deep and dark, colors are vibrant and flesh tones are warm. Also works great on windows and glass doors! Over-laminate is recommended if hanging outside for an extended period of time. *Available in 24”, 36”, 44” and 60” x 100’ rolls
AquaSolv Scrim Vinyl HD 10oz Premium Banner
This Scrim vinyl banner is designed for aqueous inks and features tear resistant fabric blockout and vinyl layers. The super smooth, matte, waterfast coating allows for high image quality resolution and fantastic color reproduction. Suitable for trade show graphics, point of sale displays and hanging banners. Over-laminate is recommended if hanging outside for an extended period of time. *Available in 24”, 36”, 42”, 50” and 60” x 65’ Rolls
Inkpress Adhesive vinyl is an economical, universal and permanent self adhesive material with a bright white and water resistant coating. The permanent self adhesive backing adheres solidly to buildings, windows, etc. This product is designed for all indoor and outdoor applications, but over-laminate is recommended if hanging outside for an extended period of time. *Available in 8.5 x 11, 13 x 19 and 17 x 22 sheets. 17”, 24”, 36”, 44”, 50” and 60” x 100’ Rolls.
AquaSolv Blockout Banner 250 Material
Blockout Banner 250 offers a bright white, double layer coating with a PET/ PP blend for superb anti curl, high opacity and image definition. The non-transmissive blockout material allows for brilliant full color prints, and the tear and fade resistant material holds up extremely well in almost all applications, including posters, point of sale displays, trade show panels and indoor/ outdoor promotional banners. Over-laminate is recommended if hanging outside for an extended period of time. *Available in 36” and 50” x 100’ rolls
Aquasolv Quick Dry StayFlat Rollup Banner Glossy
Quick Dry Rollup Banner Glossy is a high opacity white PET film that allows for exceptional photo quality high definition images. The glossy, instant dry coating allows for easy handling, and the quality polyester material will not curl, buckle or warp even with extremely saturated images. Quick DryRollup Banner material is excellent for posters, point of sale, trade show, retail aisle banners, instructional plates and indoor/ outdoor banners.
