Mitsubishi adds Matte Finish to CP3800DW Printer

Mitsubishi Photo Imaging

Mitsubishi announced today the addition of a new feature for the CP-3800DW photo printer. The new optional feature enables the printer to generate prints with a matte finish. The new feature is made possible through a firmware and printer driver upgrade, and is available for Windows systems only. There is no change in the media for the CP-3800DW (CK3810 & CK3812).

Mitsubishi CP-3800DW

If you currently own a CP-3800DW and would like to install the new optional frimware, you must contact Mitsubishi for the upgrade. The process can be done over the phone, requires an internet connection and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Contact Mitsubishi Tech Support by calling 888-307-0309. New CP-3800DW printers will ship with the upgrade already installed.

This is an exciting upgrade and we think you will find the new matte finish for the CP-3800DW a valuable addition to Mitsubishi’s top of the line professional 8×10 printer. If you have any questions about the printer, the upgrade or if you would like to see a sample print please contact us.

Wow! I wish I still had my Windox XP System.

I currently have the Macbook Pro for Event PHotography and coming soon The “PHoto-Booth”.

I also purchased the iMac 27″ (beautiful and lovely) desktop for the my house (editing pictures).

I guess I have to wait!

Hi Jackie,
Thank you for your comment. No word from Mitsubishi as to whether or not they will add a Mac driver. Stay tuned to our blog as we will post it here if/when they do. That 27″ iMac is a thing of beauty. Enjoy it!
Cheers,
Eric

When will Mitsubishi Release a Intermediary print feature for the CP9800DW and 9550 printers for the Photo booth Industry?

This is already available with their SDK and a programmer you pay.

Crap I am not happy that Mitsubishi is dragging it’s feet and leaving us Loyal Mitsubishi fans Hanging!

My alternative is to buy and Sony printer instead of another CP9800 or 9550
